The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; provides nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
NJNG is a natural gas local distribution company that serves 489,000 customers in Monmouth, Ocean and Morris counties and a strong supporter of charitable services, especially those that help people in times of crisis. The American Red Cross is proud to be partners with NJNG to help those affected by the Chile Earthquake.
