Volunteers Help In Cot Cleaning Project
The Jersey Shore experienced raging ice storms in the beginning of February and the Jersey Coast Chapter contributed 600 cots to the disaster relief efforts from the ice storms, which directly affected Cape May County. The cots have since then been sent back to our facility, where they need to be cleaned properly.
Our volunteers have been busy making sure that these cots are cleaned and put away so that in case of a new disaster arising, they will be ready to be sent to shelters. These 600 cots were placed in shelters throughout Cape May, providing relief so that shelter residents would have a place to sleep.
