The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross held a kick-off at Watermark in Asbury Park, on Thursday, April 8, for our 2010 Charity Gala: A Sentimental Journey. The evening had a new, exciting and trendy ambiance to present the change to our upcoming gala event. For the first time in our 27 years, our Charity Gala will be held at the majestic Convention Hall in Asbury Park on May 22, 2010. This year’s Nostalgia theme takes you on a sentimental journey to the days when the American Red Cross first began.
Attendees of the evening consisted of Board Members, Gala Committee Members, Jersey Coast Chapter staff and volunteers, this year’s Clara Barton Humanitarian Award honorees, and past honorees. The evening was an excellent preview to yet another successful Charity Gala and the positive, new changes that are coming to this year’s event.
